Status and Service Updates
Savio Scratch file system is back! Sat. 11/16
Our admin team has worked tirelessly to restore the Savio cluster's scratch system. The cluster functionality is now back to normal, and we are thankful for your patience and support throughout the process. We also appreciate users' continuing efforts to clean up and move their (un-needed) files out of scratch. As a part of best practices, we urge users to keep backing up their files from scratch to permanent storage discs and avoid storing massive numbers of tiny files in scratch for long periods.
Savio Scratch Update: Fri, 11/15

Savio Scratch Update: Fri, 11/8
Savio scratch is available again but users may experience slower performance than usual. We are planning additional hardware replacements that we hope will restore it fully soon.
Scratch filesystem is down Tues, 11/5
The Scratch filesystem is down as one of the pools has lost three disks. We have opened a ticket with DDN and are working through the issues. We are aiming for resolution tomorrow afternoon.
