Research IT is seeking a talented current UC Berkeley undergraduate or graduate student student to join our team as a Writing/Storytelling Intern, to help us develop news stories / case studies about how researchers use computing, to be published on the Research IT website and other campus news outlets. (See examples of previous intern work: Systems Neuroscientists use BRC services to understand the neural basis of perception, Savio supports Doudna Lab biophysicist’s investigation of human protein production.) This position will be responsible for contacting knowledge experts, interviewing profile subjects and writing and editing approximately 1 story/profile every 2-3 weeks with guidance and assistance from professional staff. Intern must have excellent writing skills, and a passion for communicating research. Interest in scientific research is a plus. Flexible scheduling and work study option available.
