An intermediate-level training session on the use of Savio and other Berkeley Research Computing high performance computing (HPC) clusters (Cortex and Vector) will be offered on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. If you’re a current or prospective user of one of these clusters, and already have some experience using HPC resources, you are invited to expand your skills via this free training. Topics to be covered include installing software packages and running parallel and threaded computational jobs. Depending on participant interest (indicated via the registration form linked below), parallel computation using Python, R, MATLAB, C/C++, openMP, and/or MPI may be discussed.
The training session, led by Chris Paciorek, Krishna Muriki, and Yong Qin, will be held from 3:40 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Academic Innovation Studio (AIS), 117 Dwinelle Hall. If you plan to attend, please RSVP via this registration form. For more information, please write us at brc-hpc-help@berkeley.edu.
