Berkeley Research Computing (BRC) is conducting its third annual survey of our users, to solicit feedback from our community, and to gather the data we need to make a compelling case to campus leadership for sustained funding of our program. The online survey includes questions about how well services meet researchers’ needs, as well as questions about the program’s impact (e.g., in support of grants, publications, and recruitment/retention).
The information this survey provides has been very helpful in years past, e.g., informing hardware expansions to meet emerging needs, and identifying training topics that benefit our users. The survey has also contributed the data for program impact reports. See, for example, the most recent impact report that integrates 2017 survey data, available here.
Some highlights of the impact report are captured in the figure at right.
Note that for users who do not have a UC Berkeley login, the survey is accessible here; we ask that users please not fill out this variant if you have a berkeley.edu e-mail address.
